Celebrate Life: Celebrate Life is right around the corner! 6th-12th graders are invited to join the Wisconsin District and use their God-given gifts and abilities to worship the Lord. District Celebrate Life is March 6-7 at Racine Community Church. The event begins on Friday at 6pm with dinner and District NYI Convention, and Saturday will focus on event preparation for Celebrate Life at Olivet in May. Cost: $40/participant. Pastor Sebastian & Isabella:
Pastor Sebastian and Isabella are scheduled for arrival at the parsonage on Monday, February 9, at approximately 11:00am. Let Clay know if you plan on being at the parsonage to assist with unloading. A light lunch will be provided for those who are helping so a head count is needed. Thank you!

Pastor Sebastian’s first Sunday preaching will be February 15th. To give the church more time to collect gift cards and to give the church an opportunity to be a part of the gift giving, we are going to present the gift basket to the Devore’s on their first Sunday. As a reminder we are collecting gift cards to local Madison-area attractions—favorite restaurants, stores, coffee shops, and other places you enjoy. Anything you can think of is welcome! These gift cards will help them explore their new home and discover some local favorites. If you would like to donate a gift card, but are unable to purchase one (or just plain forgot!), you may donate money and the church will purchase one for you. Just be sure to mark your giving as “Devore Gift Card.”

Thank you to everyone who took part in the recent congregational vote regarding the pastoral candidate.
The member's vote was 31 yes and 0 no.  Two member's ballots were invalid.  The non-member's vote was 6 yes and 1 no.  This was an incredibly strong vote of unity and support for Pastor Sebastian.  We appreciate the care, prayer, and discernment shown by our congregation.  
After a time of prayer, Pastor Sebastian has accepted the call to become your next Lead Pastor.
You will be hearing more in the days to come about Pastor Sebastian and Isabella's arrival.  Thank you again for seeking God's will throughout this process.

Pastoral Candidate Update: A resume and Biography information for Sebastian Devore is available to you today. This information will help you as you continue to learn more about our Pastoral Candidate. The Church Board has unanimously extended a call to Sebastian Devore, to be the next Lead Pastor of Crosspoint Church. Now it's up to the Members and Crosspoint Church Family. A vote will take place on Sunday, January 25th. You will have the opportunity to vote yes or no, for Sebastian to become the next Lead Pastor of Crosspoint Church. Please continue to pray for this important process. Prayer is vitally important! Finally, the Church Board is open to answering any questions or hearing any concerns you have about this process. In the Nazarene church the WEF funds missionaries everywhere around the world.  Every Nazarene church is asked to share a portion of its total income in order to MAKE CHRISTLIKE DISCIPLES IN ALL NATIONS!
When you give to WEF, the money goes to the General Treasurer’s Office in Kansas City. Then the funds are sent to the six world regions - to the missionaries and ministries around the globe! The 6 world regions are: Africa, Asia/Pacific, Eurasia, Meso-America, South America, and USA-Canada.
The World Evangelism Fund is the foundation for everything the Lord is doing through the global Church of the Nazarene: it is our core method of missions through compassion, evangelism, and education.
The World Evangelism Fund goal for every church is 5.5% of its total income annually. The NMI council encourages each person in the Crosspoint congregation - as the Lord leads - to give to WEF this year.  It can be given in one lump sum during the year - or some give a special gift to WEF at Thanksgiving or Easter - or many people in our church give a specific amount on a weekly or monthly basis.  Such as, $20 a month, or $5 a week - or however they decide after praying about it.

18 more Crisis Care Kits were sent out from Crosspoint! Nancy, Peter, Lois, and John put together 3 banana boxes of CCK's and they were mailed last week.

Mission Prayer Focus: UNITED STATES
The Church of the Nazarene began in the United States in 1887, and was formally organized in 1908. Today there are Nazarenes in every state of the US. There are 558,147 members and 4,216 organized churches.
PRAY FOR: *That the Lord will continue to call young people into service for those who haven't heard the gospel yet.
*That service opportunities will transform the lives of young people - and serve in a bigger world that needs to hear about Jesus.

Shampoo (12-18oz), toothpaste, bandaids, hand towels, fingernail clippers. Please remember to only donate in the appropriate sizes. Don't want to shop, but would still like to help out? You can donate money instead of specific items anytime!

Parsonage Work Day: Saturday, October 18 , from 10am-2pm, will be a Parsonage Workday. Tasks include pulling tall weeds from around the house and garden area, cleaning windows and screens, etc. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP to Clay so he can plan accordingly.
