Tuesday, September 1, 2020
After spending the summer outside under the tent, we will be coming back inside starting this
Sunday, September 6th . Also, we want you to know that there will continue to be a live stream
available online on our YouTube channel and our Facebook page. Because we are doing are best to follow national, state and local laws and guidelines and we are trying to keep everyone safe, here is what you need to know:
For the time being, we will not be having Sunday School or Café time, just the worship service at 10:30.
For the time being, there will be no childcare, nursery or children’s ministry.
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms please stay home:
Fever or chills
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Muscle or body aches
New loss of taste or smell
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
We ask that at all times at service, that you do your best to keep a 6 feet social distancing with those outside your own family unit. There will be chairs set up in the sanctuary that are set up with social distancing.
We ask that you wear a mask while you are in the building per current Dane County order.
Please be prayerful as you decide what you will do and do not feel pressure to do anything that
you do not feel comfortable doing. Also, please remember that as we gather, we gather with a
sense of charity. You may have different views on the process of returning than someone else,
and that is ok. But let us remember that we are doing whatever we can do to get everyone

Dear Church family,
I hope this update finds you well. We will be having church online again this weekend. The service will be available here on YouTube and on Facebook starting at 10:30 Sunday morning. Let’s continue to pray for each other, those affected by this virus, and political leadership here and globally as this is dealt with. I hope that we will all be able to meet again very soon, but until then be safe and keep healthy. I am praying for you!

I hope this udpate finds you healthy and safe. I just watched President Trump’s news conference on the virus and the instruction continues to be not to gather. We are going to continue on our course of having service online this weekend. We hope that we can meet again physically soon but until then we will continue to worship together via stream. You can watch it here on YouTube and on Facebook starting at 10:30 Sunday morning. I am praying for you and your families. We at Crosspoint, as His church, want to help and provide in ways that we are able to during this time. God is faithful and He will see us through this.

It has been a whirlwind of a last few days. Yesterday president Trump declared a state of emergency and our governor has taken safety measures such as closing schools. The nation is pulling together and finding ways to proactively slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). We at Crosspoint Church, striving to be prudent and wise and not fearful, have decided to not gather tomorrow morning for Sunday School or morning worship.
We will have a stream available with some weekly Church announcements, prayer, scripture and a message that will be available tomorrow at 10:30 am. Click here to view watch the service once it is made available. Moving forward after tomorrow, the church board and I will evaluate on gathering for worship on a week by week basis. As of right now the Men’s Bible study on Monday nights and the Women’s Bible study on Wednesday nights have not been cancelled but stay tuned for more information on that moving forward.
During this time, I ask you to do a few things.
First, do not fear, but pray. During this time of uncertainty there is a giant spirit of fear that I have seen and felt, and I believe that we must make the choice to not live in that. God has told us that He will always be with us, that He cares for us and that He will provide for us. Our faith must overcome our fear and anxiety. Scripture instructs, “cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). During this time of uncertainty, I ask that you be vigilant in prayer. The president has declared tomorrow a National Day of Prayer, let us take up the mantle and pray for our church, for our community, for our country and for everyone who is dealing with this virus worldwide.
Second, I ask that you continue to worship with us. Our church may be coming together differently tomorrow but I ask you to gather together with your family and join us tomorrow morning, where you are at, in prayer and in opening God’s word. I will still be in the office throughout next week so you can contact me for pastoral care and you can give monetarily via check to the church address. We will continue as a church both to give monetarily globally and find ways locally to help out our community and local church partners.
It is our blessing to join the greater community on the effort to stave off the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to be praying for God to move in our midst. I am thankful for you and for your support and care and I look forward to seeing you again soon!
